Instructions for adding your comments to the pages above
1. Log In on Top Right
2. Click on the page (vocab word) you want to edit
3. Click "Edit" tab at the top of the page
4. Type your contribution: use ***LIST OF ACTIVITIES**
5. Then click SAVE on bottom left.
Posting to a Wiki (What I Know Immediately) is that easy!
PURPOSE: Create a learning space where students are able to work together to communicate understandings of the vocabulary. This is a resource for students to use as they discuss and debate the issues involved in American History. Students will use this as a way to reflect on and extend classroom lessons.
EXPECTATIONS: Students are to contribute at least 1 time every 2 weeks to one of the pages linked below. This will total at least 5 contributions through each 10 week marking period.
RUBRIC FOR EACH CONTRIBUTION
5 POINTS
The student has complete and detailed understanding of the vocabulary word. Contribution is able to help classmates with a better understanding of the word. The student can contribute to the wiki with no significant errors. Contribution is completed in complete sentence and edited. The student is able to independently complete activity.
4 POINTS
The student has understanding of the vocabulary word but not in great detail. Contribution is vague in how it can help classmates with a better understanding of the word. The student can contribute to the wiki with no significant errors. Contribution is completed in complete sentence and edited. The student is able to complete activity with minimal assistance.
3 POINTS
The student has an incomplete understanding and/or misinformation about the vocabulary word. Student maintains a basic understanding of the topic. Contribution misleads classmates about the understanding of the word. The student makes significant errors when contributing to the wiki, but still accomplishes a rough approximation of the skill. Contribution is completed in complete sentence and edited. The student is able to complete activity, but with assistance
1-2 POINTS
The student’s understanding of the vocabulary word is so incomplete that the student cannot be said to understand the topic. Contribution distracts from classmates understanding of the word. able to help classmates with a better understanding of the word. The student makes many errors when contributing to the wiki that they cannot actually perform the skill or process. Contribution is not completed in complete sentence and not edited. The student is unable to complete activity without assistance.
0 POINTS
The student does not contribute to the wiki. Contribution is offensive or completly off topic - interrupting classmates understanding of the word.
